Shall the City count the time that paramedics worked for the Department of Public Health towards their Fire Department pensions?
Summary Prepared by League of Women Voters of San Francisco:
Charter Amendment Placed on the ballot by the Board of Supervisors by a vote of 8-0.

PRINCIPAL PROVISIONS: Proposition C would adjust pension benefits for paramedics. Last February all paramedics were transferred to the Fire Department from the Department of Public Health, whose employee benefits are less than those of the Fire Department members. This charter amendment would include the time paramedics worked for the Department of Public Health as time worked for the Fire Department for pension benefit purposes.
