Political Philosophy for Joe Pirzynski

Candidate for
Council Member; Town of Los Gatos

This information is provided by the candidate

The record of my Planning Commission and General Plan Committee participation demonstrates an intelligent, congruent, and consistent focus on the issues of town character and quality of life. I feel I have significantly contributed to the practical application of these concepts within the planning framework. This has followed on the heals of sixteen years of direct service to the community in my role of Board President and Commander of Los Gatos D.A.R.T., the volunteer Disaster Aid Response Team.

To many in local government, problems such as traffic and congestion seem insurmountable, particularly in light of the valley's intense economy. I feel, however, that clear thinking and regional planning can facilitate the solutions and mitigations necessary to maintain Los Gatos life quality while evolving our economic health.

Balance and perspective are my strengths as an educator and therapist. I will bring these same qualities to my evaluation of the toughest issues. I firmly believe solutions are possible because Los Gatos is strong in its commitment to maintain and enhance its character as a community.
