Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Fremont Union High School District

This information is provided by the candidate

It is an honor and a privilege to have served the Fremont Union High School District these past four years. I look forward to continue serving a highly distinguished district with the following priorities:

  • Providing a premier world class education to our students.

  • Maintaining a safe environment for students and teachers to promote and learn responsibility for self and respect for others.

  • Working with all members of our community developing strategies to help our students to become responsible citizens, talented and skilled, leading fulfilling lives and making productive contributions to our community.

  • Developing, implementing and supporting policies and strategies in the following areas:
1.achieving high academic standards
2.providing accountability to students, staff and community
3.developing and supporting teaching excellence
4.using technology in the classroom effectively.

We have high expectations for education and student achievement. But most importantly, let's make sure our students have fun and enjoy their high school years. We know what challenges face them tomorrow.

I would like to share a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that exemplifies why I feel so strongly about educating our children and why I want to continue serving our community.

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics . . . to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, . . . or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
