By Roger C. Noel

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Mountain View School District

This information is provided by the candidate
I am a candidate in the election on November 3rd for the position of Trustee, Mountain View School Board.

I am well qualified for this position. My education includes a BS in Mathematics and an MBA in Information Systems. I have been an information systems professional for the past twenty years. My home has been in Mountain View since 1979.

I have been a volunteer teacher's aide for the past two years. Being a member of the Slater School Site council for the past 2 years and having a daughter who has attended school in the district for the last three years has allowed me to gain experience in the daily operation of our schools as well as the long term issues schools are facing.

I have been a Parks and Recreation Commissioner in Mountain View since February 1997. In this position, I have supported our schools by advocating that the City maintain all parks located on school properties. Serving on the Commission has helped me gain an understanding of the issues facing our youth as well.

If elected, I will bring business experience, in class experience, and fiscal responsibility to the school district. I am looking forward to serving as a trustee on the Mountain View School Board. I would appreciate your vote on November 3rd.
