This information is provided by the candidate

I am running for re-election to the Saratoga City Council because I value our community - our beautiful setting and traditional neighborhoods, our strong public safety record, and our quiet lifestyle.

I have had 4 years experience on the City Council and 5 on the Planning Commission, where I

· provided responsible and respectful leadership,

· acted to preserve and protect the quality of Saratoga's neighborhoods, and

· worked to build a strong sense of community.

POSITIVE GOALS

Protect our neighborhoods: Ensure that new development is environmentally sensitive and compatible with existing neighborhoods.

Address traffic and safety issues: Plan and act now to reduce current and future traffic impacts on our neighborhoods. Preserve our record as California's safest city.

Support our schools: Maintain and strengthen city ties with all schools. Utilize city and school assets for the benefit of all the community.

Protect our environment: Keep working to protect Saratoga's vistas, creeks, and trees -- valuable assets to us all.

Ensure fiscal responsibility: See to it that the city is run efficiently, that budgets are balanced, and that reserves are available for emergencies.
