A lifelong resident of Santa Clara, I have an extensive record of service to my community.
I have served as a board member on the following nonprofit organizations: Lions' Blind Center, Soroptimist Int'l of Santa Clara, Bill Wilson Center, Crisis Line for the Handicapped, Democratic Century Club, SC Women's League, Old Quad Resident's Association, El Camino Real Task Force.

As a council member, I have represented our city in many aspects of our local government: Fairway Glen Open Space Park, Sister Cities, Architectural Review Committee, Central California Power Agency, MSR Public Power Agency, Sewer Treatment Plant committee, Airport Land Use committee, Economic Development Committee, Americans with Disabilities Act committee.

I previously served as an elected Trustee to the West Valley-Mission Community College District (1985-92).
