Political Philosophy for Dianne J. Lemke

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Oak Grove School District

Providing quality education for all our students must be our continued priority. Change is necessary in order to accomplish this goal. Together we must build on sucesses, making the necessay adjustments to meet the demands of an ever-changing society.

As a member of the Oak Grove Board of Trustees for the past 8 years and an active parent of a young child, I have worked to improve open and honest communication within the district. In addtion, I have:

  • Adopted the district literacy plan with a focus on student success

  • Voted to implement class size reduction in grades kindergarten through three

  • Approved addtional training for both new and experienced teachers

  • Supported improved evaluation and acountability for staff and students

  • Adopted high standards for all grade levels and supported progams to better educate all children

  • Voted for performing arts program which will be implemented this school year.

I will continue to

  • Provide finacial stabilty by approving balanced budgets

  • Work to improve communication through the district

  • ADVOCATE FOR ALL CHILDREN
