I believe that I am the best candidate for the Mountain View City Council for a number of reasons. I am a 21 year resident of Mountain view and have a wealth of experience including serving on the Parks and Recreation and Planning Commissions, being an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and serving as its most recent Chairman, and serving the community as a member of the Board of Directors of a number of nonprofit organizations including the Amercian Red Cross, the Community School of Music & Arts and the Mountain View Library Foundation.

My training and experience as an attorney and mediator have instilled in me the ability to analyse a situation from many different perspectives, identify mutual and competing interests, develop creative solutions and make difficult decisions.

As Mountain View prepares to enter the next millenium, it needs inspired leaders who are proactive, creative, forward thinking, willing to listen to and discuss issues with constituents and are able and willing to make difficult decisions with integrity. Our city government needs to address matters before they become issues, not react to them. My training, experience and familiarty with the community has prepared me to meet this challange.
