South Valley Plan for rural preservation

By J. Robert "bob" Foster

Candidate for City Council; City of Morgan Hill

This information is provided by the candidate
The County and the Cities of Morgan Hill and Gilroy have agreed to preserve the rural character of South Santa Clara County. Foster was a plan founder and will fight to keep it.
In 1980 the communities of Southern Santa Clara Valley committed to the South Valley Plan. The purpose of this plan is to preserve our rural heritage and atmosphere. Along with many then civic leaders, Foster helped create this broadvisioning plan and convince the City Councils and Board of Supervisors to adopt the plan.

The South Valley Pan saves us from urban spread by concentrating development within the cities of Morgan Hill and Gilroy.

Foster fully supports this plan which truly enhances our quality of life. Addtionally, Foster recognizes the need to maintain open space within the City limits as well.
