Political Philosophy for Howard Posner

Candidate for
Director; Sacramento Municipal Utility District; Ward 3

I generally shun ideologies and extreme positions on issues. I am a political independent and belong to no political party. The SMUD directorship is a nonpartisan office, as it should be. There is no place for partisanship on a board charged with serving the electric power needs of the entire community. I simply look for common-sense, moderate solutions to the issues that I face as a board member, trying to keep political considerations to a minimum. This is consistent with my nonpartisan outlook.
