I'm fiscally conservative. I'm for providing high quality park, fire, and recreational services to all residents at the least cost. To that effect governement should not be competing with private industry, but should be providing services that are unavailable through the private sector. The difference between government and business is that the goal of business is to make a profit by minimizing costs and maximizing income. The goal of government should be to break even by minimizing costs while maximizing services. In the next four years we will need to provide additional services to new areas without increasing the tax burden or degrading the service to current residents. We will need to construct new parks, provide additional recreational opportunities, and build and staff new fire stations to maintain or improve the level of services.
