Full Biography for Steve Miklos

Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Folsom

Elected to the Folsom City Council in 1994. Elected as Vice Mayor in December of 1995 and served for two years until elected as the Mayor of Folsom in December of 1997.

In addition to my duties as Mayor, I am a Director of the Sacramento Area Council of Governments and Council liaison to the Chamber of Commerce. I had previously served as Chairman of the City of Folsom/ El Dorado County Joint Powers Authority and Chairman of the City of Folsom Traffic Safety Committee.

I have been a small business owner in the City of Folsom for the past 11 years. I moved to Folsom from Southern California, where I was a Fire Fighter/ Paramedic.

Shortly after opening my office in Folsom, I became involved with the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, and the Folsom Rotary Club. I have served as a director and 2nd vice- president for the Chamber of Commerce, and as a director and special events chairman for the Rotary Club.

I contribute many hours with the local schools in activities ranging from reading to elementary school students, to sharing business ethics and practices to our high school students. I have been a long time sponsor of Little League and many other youth sports and after school programs.
