My highest priority is to maintain or improve the academic achievement of each student. I believe that public education is responsible to give each child the opportunity to be the best they can be. I work very hard at being prepared for the board meetings and at being open and available to the community members abd employees.

I have lived in the District for 21 years and have been involved with the Dry Creek Schools the entire time. I restarted the Dry Creek Parents Club in 1977 and was an officer for 6 years. I was on Site Council for 5 years (an officer for 3) and a roommother for 9 years. Both my children graduated from Dry Creek School and have gone on to be productive adults.

In my tenure on the Board of Trustees I have been involved with the growth from a 1 school district of 127 students to a 5 school district with 2 more to be open in 1999 and potential for another in the year 2000. We have grown to 4700+ and add students daily. This type of growth requires advanced planning in many areas such as hiring, policy making, transportation, curriculum, teacher training and budget as well as the obvious one of facilities. The Board of Trustees has been agressive in each of these areas, making the education of our children the top priority. I promise to work equally as hard for the next four years to guarantee quality education for the students in the District if I am reelected for another term. Thank you.
