Cathedral City must be run like a business. With an annual budget of $14,000,000. plus it is mandatory to have both a long and short plan relating to income and expenses. A private business could not operate without a detailed plan.

A good example, is the current status of the community services district (CSD). The city has been sued by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association stating that the CSD is not a legal method of collecting funds in Cathedral City and the suit is seeking to repeal the CSD assessment which is $3,500,000. I do not think that our city has a plan if the CSD is repealed! The suit is scheduled for court in January 1999.

My philosophy is Plan and then work the plan. If you do not know where you are going any road will take you there.

We must run our city like a business and this is one of my goals as a city council member.
