It's Time For A Change - A New Attitude At City Hall!

By Marcia Amino

Candidate for City Council Member; City of Moreno Valley; Councilmanic District 2

This information is provided by the candidate
I am tired of waiting for responsive, accessible and accountable city government. It is time for a change so there is no more waiting for this to become a reality.
I am running for city council in District 2 because it is time for a change. I am a homeowner, married, mother of 2 and have lived in Moreno Valley with my family for more than 10 years. Over the years I have been involved in numerous community activities with the desire to make Moreno Valley a better place to live.

If I am elected my first and most important priority will be a RESPONSIVE, ACCESSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE City Government that represents everyone equally.

I believe that government can work well in partnership with residents. And, by working to develop a "business friendly" atmosphere, I believe we can retain existing businesses and encourage new businesses to settle in our city.

I would work to form a Moreno Valley Business Advisory Council consisting of local business owners and local citizens charged with the task of improving our city's lagging economy. Without successful economic development, our city will never build the tax base necessary to ease the existing tax burden.

Due to my consistent efforts to bring accountability to our city government, to require fiscal responsibility and to encourage tax relief, I have received the endorsement of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association.

The incumbent in District 2 has had 8 years to bring accountability to our city government, provide fiscal responsibility and provide tax relief as well as to be a voice for all of us. Will we allow our voices to be silent for 4 more years?

I am asking for your vote on November 3rd to help me continue this effort to bring responsible government to Moreno Valley.
