Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Mission Viejo

This information is provided by the candidate
I am committed to the betterment of our city.
When we bought our first Mission Viejo home in 1979, the area was promoted as "The California Promise". Unfortunately, we also had a distant, unresponsive, uncaring county government. Now 10 years after incorporation, we have a similar situation with our City Council. Citizens with legitimate concerns regarding the use of public moneys to enrich Mall Developers, Sport Franchises, and Low Income Housing Developments, have routinely been vilified, then dismissed by our uncaring, unreponsive City Council.

As Your City Council Representative, I will say, "No more public funds for private development!" If the project makes business sense let the developer pay for it!

Some of the "Quality of Life" issues, that need to be addressed are:
1. The reuse issue of El Toro Airport must be resolved to the satisfaction of our citizens in Mission Viejo. We all need to say, "NO!!! NOW!"
2. Develop a comprehensive, cooperative plan to ease traffic congestion on our streets and around our schools.
3. Work to improve Police response time.
4. Manage our Assets in a businesslike manner. Stop this councils "Edifice Complex!"

Together, we can re-establish "The California Promise", using fiscal integrity, offering opportunities for all in the coming century.
