Full Biography for Jan M. Flory

Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Fullerton

Jan M. Flory was first elected to the City Council in October, 1994, in a special election. Three weeks later she was elected again to a full four-year term, and now serves as Mayor Pro Tem for the Council. She has been a practicing family law attorney in the city for 12 years and was previously a real estate broker with a new home sales business. She and her husband, Bill, met as students at CSUF and have been married for 33 years. They have two sons, Mike and Rob, who are both attorneys. The Flory family has lived in Fullerton for over 28 years.

Prior to serving on the City Council, Jan was a Planning Commissioner as well as a Community Services Commissioner. She is an active member and supporter of the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce, Fullerton Interfaith Emergency Shelter, the YWCA, the Good Guys of the Boys and Girls Club of North Orange County and First Christian Church of Fullerton. She is a recent member of the Fullerton Downtown Business Association.

Mayor Pro Tem Flory was born in New Zealand, the child of a U. S. Marine and his New Zealand bride. She grew up in Garden Grove, California.
