Full Biography for Jose J. Fernandez

Candidate for
City Council; City of Santa Ana; Ward 4

This information is provided by the candidate

My name is Jose J. Fernandez. I've been a resident of Santa Ana since 1970. I attended SAUSD public schools from K-12th grade. After graduating from Santa Ana High School in 1984 I went directly to UC Irvine. While at UCI I was a member of a fraternity and various social clubs on campus. It is here where I was first introduced to student government, thus, my political interest began to develop.

Though I haven't previosly been involved in Santa Ana politics I have always followed the various issues that have arisen this last decade. Unfortunately, sometimes, certain issues tend to divide the city and its communities which leads to rift and strife. I see these instances as counterproductive to the future of Santa Ana. I, as your council representative would like to bring an end to divisiveness within the City Council.
In my business I have to deal with all types of people at various levels of their employment status. This, in turn, gives me a distinct advantage in dealing with people and their different perspectives. With my people skills I will work to have the Council work as one harmonious unit rather than a splintered entity as is the case in our current Council.
With your vote and support we will develop Santa Ana into a positive place to live and work for us all-rather than a select few. Let's make Santa Ana a real "community".

Thank you once again for your
vote and support,

Jose J. Fernandez
