My wife Karen and I have lived in Laguna Niguel for 17 years. I have two adult children pursuing professional careers. I served my country by honorably completing 4 years in the United States Air Force. My education includes a Bachelors degree in Public Administration and Criminology and I am an F.B.I. National Academy graduate. As Commander of Laguna Niguel's Sheriff Substation, I helped create our safe community. My 32 years of law enforcement service has enhanced my leadership ability and experience for informed independent decision making.

As Director of the Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce, I helped establish our favorable business climate. For 10 years I chaired the committee to keep our holidays bright by lighting Laguna Niguel's Christmas Tree. I am the Chairman of Laguna Niguel's Community Events Commission, whose purpose is to enhance our quality of life as well as a member of the Laguna Niguel Rotary Club. I am also an advisor to the Orange County Boy Scout Sea Base.

My employment history is as follows:

  • Captain, Orange County Sheriff's Department 32 years (retired).
