This information is provided by the candidate

I am running for school board because I am a strong supporter of public education. Public education's greatest strength lays in its preservation of our free and democratic society. Our duty as Americans is to always protect and promote our education community, and to guarantee a free quality educational opportunity to all children. I have shown this support in the many years I have successfully spent in working with the district, the parents, the students, the community, and the state legislature on issues that promoted and improved education in CUSD. I have received many awards and recommendations from inside and outside this district for my commitment and hard work on behalf of your children and our district. I am proud to have been able to work with the excellent, dedicated professionals who work very hard to run such an outstanding district as Capistrano Unified.

I am equally proud to be endorsed and supported by the teachers and classified associations. We share a true vision of the value of public education, and what it means to our community. But most of all we share the passion and the commitment to provide our children with the quality education they deserve. We will always put kids first and do what is best for them and for public education.

I am a go-getter. I promise to give you 110% effort in promoting the welfare of your children and I will actively keep on top of all educational issues that involve this district. I will continue to fight for new schools, to defeat the airport at El Toro, and to support a strong academic foundation for all children. You can count on me to be accessible, visible and committed to continually improve CUSD and to being your number one choice for school board. Vote for Suzy Elliott on November 3rd. I wholeheartedly thank you.
