My husband and I have lived in Fountain Valley for over 30 years. We raised our two children here and they have benefited greatly from the education they received here.

I have been involved in education nearly all of my adult life. I received my primary teaching education at the University of Redlands. When we were married, I began as a primary teacher while we were in the Navy. Then I was a full time mother when we were raising our two children. When they began school, I became an active volunteer at Fulton School. I worked as a classroom helper, room mother, carnival worker, and later as PTA president and then Superintendent-Parent Council (SPC) president. Next I worked for FVSD as an instructional assistant while I completed my special education credentials at UCI. When my children were older, I returned to the classroom as a full time teacher. I have taught regular and special education at both the elementary and middle school level for over 15 years. More recently, I earned a Masters degree and an administrative credential from USIU and worked a brief time as an interim assistant principal at the middle school level.
