Full Biography for Vincent "Vince" De Vargas

Governing Board Member; Rancho Santiago Community College District; Trustee Area 3

I was born in Los Angeles, completed my schooling in Northern California.lived and worked in Minnessota, Washington D.C.and San Diego before moving to the City of Orange in 1975.

I have been married to my wife, Dianne, for almost 30 years. We have four sons, one an honor student at the Santiago Canyon campus, another a former U.S. Marine and soon to begin training as a U.S. Army Ranger. My third son currently works for a mortgage banking firm and will soon start business classes at either Santa Ana College or Santiago Canyon. My youngest is a freshman at Villa Park High School.

I hold a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from St. Mary's College of California.

I have been active in my community and my own business trade association having served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Orange County and State Director for the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of California.

I was recently appointed by Supervisor Todd Spitzer and currently serve as 2nd Vice Chair of the Orange County Overall Economic Development Program.
