I feel that every citizen has a duty and obligation to serve their community. Working together to resolve problems brings awesome results. When the citizens and the leadership of a community unite and work together, they can achieve so much. I have tried to always give to my city, and have spent a lifetime trying to make this city the best place to live, work and raise families. I feel my experience and ability to make tough decisions will help reach this city council reach the goals and expectations of our citizens.

Promises made. As your Mayor and Councilmember, I have accomplished many of the promises I made to you; strengthening public safety, saving the Bolsa Chica Wetlands, expanding youth and senior programs, extending library services, all without increasing taxes.

Promises kept: Let's look at what has been accomplished during the last four years. Huntington Beach is rated among the 10 safest cities in the nation. Industrial parks have greatly expanded creating hundreds of jobs and revenue to the city. Over 1200 acres of the Bolsa Chica are in public ownership. Downtown is now a place to take your family! Youth, library and senior programs have been expanded The city budget was balanced despite loss of funds due to the county bankruptcy. Taxes were not raised!

I have been privileged to be able to take a leadership role in these accomplishments. I need your vote to complete the commitments I made to you; more youth sports fields, a new senior center, more police officers a "new" Huntington Center, acquisition of additional acres in Bolsa Chica, repairs to sewers, streets, and the water system, continued business expansion, a financially stable city government, without raising taxes.
