Robert (Bob) Beardsley Candidate Statement North Orange County Community College District Board Of Trustees - Area Three ____________________________________________

I grew up in Fullerton, Placentia, and Anaheim. My wife Julia and I are now twenty-year residents of Yorba Linda. This gives me an investment in our community. Thirty years of business experience in strategic planning, training and development, process improvement, staffing and management is a perfect match between my skills and desire to serve as your North Orange County Community College District Board Of Trustees member.

I am a proud product of the NOCCCD system graduating from Fullerton Community College and serving as Student Body President in 1967-68. FCC gave me focus and prepared me to complete four degrees including a Masters in Education.

Our student population is changing. Your Trustees must understand how to successfully partner with administration and faculty as we help prepare the next generation of world and business leaders. Industry's job mix continues to dramatically shift. Technology compels us to educate in different ways. Quality education begins with our competent staff, teachers and curricula. We also need the right systems to support learning, including: thoughtful and stable budgeting, strategic planning and business processes.
