Priorities:
  • Parents are a school's "clients"; schools must be accountable to said clients.
  • English immersion programs should be implemented to ensure our non-English speaking kids have every chance to succeed ASAP.
  • Curriculum should stress the basic skills of reading, writing, math. Basic skills also include fine arts. Test scores need to be raised at some sites.
Anthony M. "Tony" Valla 8,389 votes 13.2%

  • Residence - Fullerton for more than 22 years

  • M.A. degree - School Administration
  • Service - 20 years service to Fullerton children, local schools, and the broader community.
Priorities:
  • Emphasize that language learning begins at home. Schools should work with parents to decide which program is used.
  • Emphasize zero tolerance policy on drugs, weapons, and gang activity on school campus.
  • Emphasize that teachers and district staff have been hired to run the school district. The Board's role is to monitor, advise, and encourage them.
