Public Safety

By Cynthia Murray

Candidate for Supervisor; Marin County; District 5

This information is provided by the candidate
Public Safety is central to a healthy community, and it is my Number One priority. We all owe a debt of gratitude to the officers who put their lives on the line for all of us. I work everyday to insure that those officers have what they need to do their jobs.
Public Safety is my number one priority. As a councilmember, I expanded Novato's police force by 10%. I expanded the onsite School Resource Officer program on school campuses, and fully funded the School Crossing Guard program.

I have been endorsed by all the major public safety officials and organizations in
Marin: · Novato Police Officers Association; · Marin Deputy Sheriffs Association; · Marin County Fire Department Firefighters Association; · National Latino Peace Officers Association; · Marin County Sheriff Bob Doyle; · Novato Police Chief Brian Brady.

As your Supervisor, I will insure that the County puts public safety first, and always maintains healthy budgets for our local forces.
