Suzy is running with Hal Hassin, MD and Gene Tolls, MD. Together we will bring the experience and dedication needed to protect our healthcare.

Suzy has spent the past 10 years caring for her aging parents. Her mother has been paralyzed by a stroke and her father recently died of Alzheimer's disease. Suzy was also the recipient of one of the first kidney transplants 32 years ago. She deals with real healthcare issues every day.

Suzy has lived in Marin County for 26 years. She earned an MBA in Health Services Management in 1990, after a 20 year career in banking. Suzy worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 17 years, ending her career as Assistant Vice President and Manager of the Personal and Business Banking Centers at the San Francisco main office.

Suzy has been involved in many community activities. She is the Chair of the Healthier Communities Task Force of Marin and is also serving as President of the Alzheimer's Association, North Bay Chapter. She has been a Big Sister and President of Big Sisters of Marin, and a Board Member of Marin Home Care.

Suzy believes strongly that Marin General Hospital is one of our community's strengths. She is pleased to serve on the District Board. Unfortunately, several other Board members have potentially endangered the quality of care by voting to file a lawsuit against the Hospital. Self-serving politics should NEVER come before medical care.

Suzy's personal experience and her background in business put her in a unique position to serve on the Marin Healthcare District Board. Her campaign is supported by hundreds of doctors, nurses and community members who believe like she does, that lawsuits have no place in modern medical care.

Suzy Coxhead, 54, lives in Tiburon with her husband Stone, a former Mayor of Tiburon.
