Top Priorities if Elected

By Deanna Rodriguez Root

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Richland-Lerdo School District

This information is provided by the candidate
1. Improved Reading skills and Libraries.
2. Dicipline and Safety in and outside our schools.
3. More Parent Involvement in their childrens education.
1. Reading Skills and Libraries: I believe that by improving the student reading skills dramatically, we will improve test scores across the board. We must have well stocked and maintained libraries with certificated librarians so children have a better chance to improve their reading skills.

2. Dicipline and Safety: Concerns should be addressed regularly by working together with parents, administrators, and teachers to establish a "Safty Net".

3. Parent Envolvement: We need to encourage more parent envolvement in their children's education. Parents are their children's first teachers; therefore, they hace a responsibility for the education of their children in partnership with the school.
