Shall the Bear Valley Community Services District be authorized to exercise its powers for the following purpose: Adopt and enforce by ordinance measures for the abatement , control, and removal of weeds on property within the District?
Impartial Analysis from County Counsel
A "yes" vote by a majority of voters voting on this measure will authorize the Board of Directors of the Bear Valley Community Services District to adopt and enforce by ordinance measures for the abatement, control, and removal of weeds on property within the District, subject to legislative expansion of the District's permissible powers.

By law, a community services district may perform those functions which are authorized by statute and approved by a majority vote of the District. The District is sponsoring legislation to add weed abatement authority as a permissible function of the District. If the legislation is adopted and this measure is approved, the District may, by ordinance, enact and enforce measures for the abatement, control and removal of weeds on property located within the District's boundaries.
