The Superior Court is California's trial court of general jurisdiction. A superior court judge must have the qualifications to handle all the court's business. A superior court judge is called upon to decide enormous issues such as the termination of parental rights, civil disputes that could make or break the financial future of the litigants, and criminal cases where the court must wield the power of imprisonment and even death in the interest of the restoration of victims and safety of the community. The person you elect must not only have the fortitude to make these decisions and many more, but must posses the requisite experience, integrity and interest in the community to ensure he is worthy of your trust.

Christopher Wilson owns and manages a very busy and successful legal practice handling a variety of civil, family, and criminal cases. His business is his vocation, not an aside to other pursaits. A typical day will find him at the courthouse participating in the court's business.

As a judge pro-tem, Chris has been sworn to decide cases in the Superior Court. He has presided over many cases in the court's family law division. He sits as an arbitrator hearing divorce proceedings. He is one of a limited number of attorneys in this county certified to appear in dependency (juvenile) proceedings. He currently has a variety of cases pending in the family law court.

As a trial attorney, Chris has handled some of the most complex and serious cases this county has to offer. Jury trial experience is absolutely critical to a superior court judge. A judge must act quickly and with sound judgment in the evolving situations a jury trial frequently offers. Chris is well proven in this arena. Without such experience, there is much potential for reversal on appeal, which could create substantial cost to the County.
