Governing Board Member, Two Year Term; Southern Humboldt Community Health Care District

If elected, I will strive to:

• Stand up for my convictions
• Back up other board members and staff
• Treat staff as partners in a high calling
• Avoid being overawed by others on the board
• Welcome information and the best available advice, reserving the right to arrive at decisions on the basis of my own judgement
• Respect the right of other board members and of staff to disagree with me
• Accept that decisions must be made by majority vote
• Criticize, when necessary, in a constructive way, if possible suggesting an alternative course
• Recognize that time and energy are limited and that overcommitment may prove self-defeating
• Maintain loyalty to the Southern Humboldt Community Health Care District, within a higher loyalty to the welfare of the community and humanity as a whole
