Education and Qualifications: I believe that my years of community service and diverse teaching experiences give me the skills and personal qualifications to serve the community as a School Board Member. I hold a teaching credential and a Masters in Education and Counseling. I am a wife, mother of two children and a strong supporter of public education.

The health and strength of the public schools are a mirror of the condition of our community and an excellent predictor of it's future. I sincerely care about the future of Fresno. There are many important issues to be addressed in our district: violence on our campuses, high drop out rates, low test scores, reducing classroom size and the need for additional classrooms. As a School Board Member I will work hard to make our schools safe and to improve the education of our children. The bottom line must be that our children learn to read and write. Teachers, students, and parents must have the tools necessary to achieve this. Our tax dollars must be used wisely. I will work diligently to ensure the educational success of every child in Fresno Unified School District.
