I have participated in local government for approximately 15 years. Some of the positions I have held are: member of the Placerville's Historic Advisory Committee, participant in the City General Plan Revision - serving on three of its committees, and member of the Placerville Planning Commission for two four year terms, twice elected its chair.

As an elected member of the City Council, I have served as the City's representative on the El Dorado County Transportation Commission and the El Dorado County Transit Authority governing boards.

I am the Council's representative on the 'Gold Bug Park Committee' and the 'Trails Now Committee' and am active in their endeavors. I have served on youth related organizations; the most recent being 'New Morning' and the steering committee to establish the 'Boys's and Girl's Club'.

Before my first term as Council Member, I worked as a architectural draftsman. I am a graduate of the University of the Pacific and hold a secondary teaching credential.

I have lived with my husband in Placerville since 1976 and raised my sons here.
