Education and Qualfications:

As a resident of El Dorado County for over 20 years and the City of Placerville for eight years, I have been active on many fronts. I have participated on many boards, community organizations and committees working to make this area a better place to live and to work.

Better employment opportunities, expanded social and health services, improvement of government services, additional law enforcement, more programs for seniors and youths, and efforts to further expand education and the arts are some of the issues that receive my attention.

As a city council member I would focus on improved communications, expanded police services, further attention to senior and youth needs, and continuation of the revitilization process.

I am a widow with two successful adult daughters and two granddaughters. Currently I am a member of Soroptimists, United Way El Dorado County, Downtown Revitilization Committee, City of Placerville Planning Commission, Marshall Hospital Foundation Board and the Sacramento Economic Summit Green Valley Action Plan Small Group Committee.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism I was taught to view situations with impartiality and to listen. I will use those same traits if elected to make the City of Placerville economically and socially successful.
