Political Philosophy for

Candidate for State Board of Equalization; District 2

This information is provided by the candidate

As a candidate for the Board of Equalization, Second District, I want to address the abuses by the agency and make the changes that must be made to bring it into accountability for the new millennium.

I am presently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Associated Sales Tax Consultants, Inc., a Sacramento-based tax consulting firm which argues tax issues before the California State Board of Equalization. I am also the founder and Chairman of the State Alliance for Board of Equalization Reform (SABER) a lobbying organization which champions taxpayers' rights issues.

I have entered this race on two previous occasions, in 1990 and 1994, and decided to run again to make sure that the issues that must be addressed for the taxpayers of the state are given an opportunity to be heard. I have represented over 2,700 cases in the last eighteen years and I think of myself as a technician, not a politician.
