Being your representative on the Board of Supervisors is a great honor and a tremendous responsibility. I would appreciate the opportunity to continue as your voice and advocate for the 5th District.

Since Governor Wilson appointed me 18 months ago, I have been working full time to ensure that the 5th District's concerns are heard on the County Board of Supervisors.

In over 200 community meetings I have listened to the views of citizens about the local quality of life and I have turned their concerns into action.

Let me share the progress being made: At El Toro, I am seeking non-aviation alternatives for the MCAS property.

Throughout our District, from Tustin to San Clemente I have promoted park, road, library and infrastructure improvements.

In Newport Beach I spearheaded the long awaited dredging of Upper Newport Bay. In Laguna Beach I am working on solutions to the complex issue of widening Laguna Canyon Road. In Dana Point I have worked hard for the Dana Point Harbor Revitalization Plan. In Leisure World, Aliso Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita and the Foothill Communities, I am working on incorporation feasibility issues with local leadership.
