This information is provided by the candidate

Larry L. Bales, Deputy Assessor

Assessor, County of Orange

2264 Juniper Rd., Tustin, Ca. 92780

714-832-9664

Born May 17, 1942, Father of three, Degree-Business Education / Accounting, Viet Nam Veteran, 29 years experience in the highly specialized area of property taxation. Past president of the Society of Auditor Appraisers. Instrumental in blowing the whistle on corruption in the Assessors Office, and County Government, which resulted in the conviction of 42 individuals, and property tax reform. (Jarvis Prop 13).

Fair taxation is our heritage. Fair taxation for Orange County home owners is by far the most important issue. Homeowners by the thousands have been over taxed; I will take immediate steps to value your property without forcing you through the appeals process. Restoring Public trust, through independence, and accountability will be the most important task of the Assessor in the future. We cannot afford to continue with the mentality that put us in "bankruptcy."

I have earned the respect of the voters and taxpayers of Orange County, I am the right person, at the right place at the right time.
