Kenneth Lee Coverdell

Education & Qualifications:

I have served the Coastside County Water District Board for five years. I am
the father of three children, Robert, K.C. and Jeanne, and have lived with
Sally, my wife, on the coast for 20 years. I am very concerned about providing
the best quality water at the best possible price to our local community.

As a landscape contractor, local businessman and nurseryman I have a vested
interest in protecting and maintaining our fragile and complex water system. We
have multiple local sources of water, and our own water treatment plant.  Many
other water districts simply purchase water from San Francisco Water District
and re-sell it through their distribution system.

We are the "biggest little water district" tied to the Hetch Hetchy system,
however our local sources are very important. We must develop and maintain them
to honor our agreements with SFWD and I will serve to protect this important
relationship for our customers.

It takes a few years to understand the process and the relationships between
the multiple sources, the infrastructure, the consultants and most importantly
our excellent and loyal staff. I am just beginning to see the light and urge
you to take advantage of my learning curve by re-electing me.

He servido en el Coastside County Water District Board (La Junta de Gobierno
del Distrito) por los pasados cinco aöos.  Soy el padre de tres niöos, Robert,
K.C. y Jeanne, y he vivido con mi esposa Sally, en la costa por 20 aöos.  Estoy
muy interesado en proveerle a la comunidad la mejor calidad de agua al mejor
precio posible.

Como un contratista paâsajista, hombre de negocios y encargado de un vivero
tengo mucho interÚs en proteger y mantener nuestro fr½gil y complicado sistema
de agua potable.  Tenemos multiples fuentes locales de agua, y nuestra propia
planta de purificar el agua.  Muchos otros distritos simplemente le compran el
agua al Distrito de Agua de San Francisco y la revenden a travÚs de su sistema
de distribuci÷n.

Tenemos el "mas grande pequeöo distrito de agua" conectado al systema Hetch
Hetchy, no obstante nuestras fuentes locales son muy importantes.  Tenemos que
mantener y desarrollar esas fuentes para poder cumplir con nuestras
obligaciones con el SFWD y servire para protejer esta relacion importante para
nuestros consumidores.

Se toma algunos aöos en aprender el proceso y la relaciones intre las multiples
fuentes, la infraestructura, los tecnicos y lo que es mas importante un
personal leal.  Apenas estoy empezando a comprenderlo todo y les insto a que
tomen ventaja de my rapido aprendizaje y me re-elijan.  Muchas Gracias.
