As we approach the year 2000, San Mateo is on the threshold of confronting issues that will shape our quality of life for the new Century: How we protect our citizens. How we reduce gridlock. How we educate our children. How we provide programs for seniors. How we eliminate gang violence.
I am confident my experience qualifies me to contribute leadership to help solve these and other challenges. As an 18-year resident of San Mateo, I want to give back to our community.
