"Reducing Traffic Congestion |"
John Lee

This information is provided by the candidate

As a member of the San Mateo County Economic Development Association Board of Directors and past president of the San Mateo County-Redwood City Chamber of Commerce, I have studied traffic problems in San Mateo and in the corridor that impacts San Mateo traffic.

We must make sure that the new Franklin development at Bay Meadows helps fund improvements at Hillsdale and 101 and that we lobby before the San Mateo Transportation Committee to secure funds to improve Bayshore Freeway. The so-called Oracle Mile at Ralston Avenue impacts San Mateo, and we need regional coordination to find solutions to ease this congestion. Similarly, we must fund or secure funds to improve traffic in our internal streets, especially those leading to the freeways and thoroughfares like Alameda and El Camino. My experience will enable me to go to work right away.
