Detailed Biography for Jack E. Coyne, Jr.

This information is provided by the candidate

I am currently a member of the San Mateo / Foster City School District Board of Trustees, and I am seeking re-election. As a Member of the Board over the past 12 years, I have had the opportunity to help guide our district through major changes, and improvements. The District has increased in size, added alternative programs, expanded educational choices, improved facilities and services, updated curriculum, and improved relationships between the District and the community it serves, the staff, and associated governmental agencies to provide a very high quality education to all of our children. These changes have been accomplished while maintaining financial solvency for the District.

My experience with the District over the past twelve years and the success we have achieved, provides me with the knowledge and skill to continue move the District forward. In my work experience, I have worked for 22 years in the financial services industry, working for major California Banks. I have worked as a consultant to the financial industry, and I am currently employed by Visa USA, where I have been for four years. My experience in the financial services industry has provided me with a background in business management, finance, and technology, which I apply in directing the business, and technology efforts of the District.

I have lived in San Mateo since 1978, I am married and have three children, one a senior in High School, one in eighth grade at Abbott, and one in second grade at Fiesta Gardens International School. I am a graduate of The University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelors degree, I am active in youth sports programs, primarily AYSO soccer, and I was previously actively involved in San Mateo Homeowner's Associations.
