I am the only Board member, or candidate, who is a resident of Mountain View. With over 20% of the students in our District from Mountain View, it is essential to have a Mountain View contact to represent the needs of the District. I have been effective in securing money from the Mountain View based "Healthy Ventures" for additional personnel to work with our District nurse, meeting health needs of District students. I've worked with the Mountain View Parks and Recreation Department to address after-school activities. I have presented Los Altos School District perspectives before the Mountain View City Council. My contacts provide services for all District students.
