Education & Qualifications:

In the next four years, the dream of Foster City will finally be realized. Our
"City of Blue Lagoons" is the envy of the entire Peninsula. Our real estate
values are among the highest in Northern California. Our independent police and
fire departments are exceptional. Foster City has an annual budget surplus and
substantial reserves in the bank. These things didn't just happen - they were
brought about through the foresight of early City Councils and the diligence of
our present Council.

I have been privileged to serve Foster City as Mayor and Councilman in our
early years and I was unanimously appointed to our current Council in 1996.

Only careful and constant tending of our community assets can assure our
continued success into the next century. We must now complete Foster City with
a municipal campus, new industrial development, rehabilitated neighborhood
shopping centers and additional quality housing. I believe that my Council
experience, my financial and technological training, and my love for our island
paradise equip me well to serve the citizens of Foster City. I ask for your
support.
