Daniel F. Quigg

This information is provided by the candidate

Mayor Quigg solves problems by doing what is best for the residents of Millbrae. Mayor Dan is proud that he responds to the needs of the community, rather than the rhetoric of special interests. Mayor Quigg continually works hard to find out what the people of Millbrae are concerned about. He travels through the community on a daily basis and makes his home phone number available to everyone. This way citizens can cut through all the red tape and talk directly to Dan, the Mayor of Millbrae.

As Councilman, Dan Quigg saw that the traffic congestion at the Millbrae Avenue - Caltrain crossing was throwing the City into a gridlock nightmare and pushed hard to approve plans for the current overpass. As Mayor, Dan Quigg worked hard to make sure that the Millbrae Avenue Overpass Construction Project, the largest in Millbrae’s history, was done on time and on budget. Importantly, Mayor Quigg also took steps to make sure that traffic trough the area flowed smoothly during the construction of the overpass.

Additionally, Mayor Quigg heard the cry from the people of Millbrae to improve the downtown area of Millbrae. Thus, Dan Quigg pushed for the completion and implementation of a Downtown Action Plan that provided the City with a way to improve the storefronts downtown, increase business, and make the our downtown area both a fun place to be as well as a place in which we can take pride. Mayor Quigg invites you to take a walk downtown and ask yourself if the area is improved. Mayor Quigg wants to use this same approach to spruce up and improve other areas of Millbrae.

Dan Quigg wants to work with the citizens of Millbrae to keep this Place in the Sun a great community to live. To accomplish his goal, Mayor Quigg will work hard to listen to needs of the people.
