"Mayor Quigg Will Improve City Services |"
Daniel F. Quigg

This information is provided by the candidate

Dan Quigg has fought hard to maintain the levels of both police and fire protection, while balancing Millbrae’s budget. Dan Quigg is also committed to improving the levels of police services without increasing taxes. Mayor Quigg is taking advantage of federal programs that will put more police officers on the streets. Dan Quigg also wants to improve Millbrae’s police protection by expanding the popular volunteer programs that the Millbrae police are successfully using to deter crime.

As we move into the twenty-first century, Mayor Quigg wants to expand City services by taking full advantage of the Internet. Rather than having to call or travel to City Hall, Mayor Quigg wants people to be able to access information, file applications, make appointments, and communicate with both city employees and council members via the Internet. Using this technology, the City will be able to increase its level of services, without increasing costs.

Mayor Dan Quigg also wants to improve City services by working with other entities within Millbrae. Often neither a City nor another agency can afford to fund important projects within their communities. Other cities have moved forward with such projects by sharing resources. For example, cities and schools have worked together to improve facilities such as tracks, pools, libraries, Internet access, which benefit both the school and the surrounding community. Mayor Quigg plans to use this concept to improve what is available to Millbrae while avoiding the duplication of costs.
