   Occupation: Incumbent
   Age: 44
   Education and Qualifications:
     * BA and MBA, Stanford University
     * Cupertino School Board: President, Superintendent Search Chair,
       Measure A Finance Chair, Legislative Chair
     * Principal consultant, SKOPOS Consulting
     * Formerly director of Corporate Communications, Tandem
     * 19 years professional experience in communications, finance,
       strategic planning, human resources/compensation
       
   Educational excellence is a clear priority of parents and citizens in
   the Cupertino Union School District. I am proud that during my first
   term we have continued to move forward with innovative programs,
   classroom modernization, instructional standards, and expanded
   technology access. The next four years present an opportunity to
   strengthen our educational programs. I am committed to:
     * class size reduction
     * completing facilities modernization
     * leadership in instructional technology
     * strengthening our junior high program, coordinated with high
       schools
     * partnership and communications among parents, district and
       community
     * sound budget management
     * investment in teacher development
       
   These challenges require commitment, experience and leadership. My
   experience and excellent working relationships with the
   superintendent, employees, legislative representatives, business and
   community members will contribute to my effective service. I will
   continue to use my business perspective and dedication to education to
   serve our children's needs, to strengthen our community, and to build
   strong schools for the future.
