Official Ballot Statement

Bonnie Miller	Age: 49
Occupation: Small Business Owner

Education & Qualifications:

I believe in rolling up your sleeves and getting things done! My community
involvement started in 1982 and continues to this day. I have co-chaired my
neighborhood association since 1989, where I helped establish and develop
Healthy Start at Taft Elementary School. I serve on the Fair Oaks Community
Center Advisory Board, have been past president of the Better Business Bureau
of San Mateo County, and am a member of Soroptimist Club. In addition, I work
with the Beautification Committee and have participated in numerous
neighborhood and citywide cleanups.

My community knows my record. I received the Outstanding Citizen Award from the
Sequoia Awards in 1995 and named to the San Mateo County Women's Hall of Fame
in 1997.

My primary goal as a member of the City Council is public safety. We need more
police officers, and we need better communication tools for our Fire
Department. I also want to work on fiscal responsibility, hiring a traffic
engineer, supporting our business community, and developing downtown.

My 25 years in Redwood City and community involvement speak for themselves.

Your vote for me on November 4 will make a difference -- for all of us!

/s/ Bonnie Miller
