The real goal of Goals 2000 is to create a curriculum, controlled by the federal government, for all students in the United States of America. There is even a movement to control the curriculum of our home schooled children, most of which are Christian, forcing them to study anti-Christian materials in order to pass a federal exam. This later movement may or may not be directly related to the Goals 2000 program.
Disguised as a program to get computers into every classroom in America, it carries with it mandates. These mandates become active when the money for the computer plan is accepted by the local community. We may already be “signed up” for programs we do not want, just because someone did not want to turn down the federal money.
This is how the federal government controls us on the local level. First it takes our money in the form of taxes, then it promises to return some of it if we agree to do what it wants us to do.
Too basic? Too simple? Too late?...I hope and pray we are not!!!
We have to start somewhere. I will do all I can to eliminate federal control over our local classrooms
